Given info: The downward force applied on pulley is 100N, the force applied on crate 25N and the length of the rope is 1m.

When he/she do work by pushing one end of the lever down, work is done at other end.

Write the expression for the input work done.

W=F1d1

Here,

F1 is the downward force applied on pulley

d1 is the length of the rope

Write the expression for the input work done.

W=F2d2

Here,

F2 is the force applied on crate

d2 is the vertical distance of the crate rises

Equating the above two equations.

F1d1=F2d2d2=F1d1F2

Substitute 25N for F1, 1m for d1 and 100N for F2 in the above equation to get d2.

d2=25N×1m×(100cm1m)100Nd2=25cm
