Introduction: The central nervous system (CNS) consists of the brain, nerves, and spinal cord. The CNS is a vital system of the body that carries out voluntary and involuntary functions. The brain is the central processing unit that controls and process all the information, control voluntary and involuntary function, and also accounts for cognitive thinking.
(b)
To Compare: The size of the neuron and neuroglia.
Introduction: The neurons are the functional unit of the nervous system. The neurons have the dendrites, axon, and cell body that has a nucleus. The dendrites receive and process the nerve signals, and the axon sends signals to other nerve cells. The neurons have specialized functions, such as transmitting electrical impulses to pass the information from one cell to another.
