System unit is the main part of the computer.

It is the case that is present on the desktop in order to protect the computer components from damage.

The components may be a motherboard, central processing unit (CPU), memory and other electronic components.

System unit is also called as chassis.

Some desktop computer contains a tower system unit which is a device that is separated from the monitor.
