The body converts the excess carbohydrates in the body into glycogen and stores them in the muscles or liver.   If the consumption exceeds that level, the body overcomes it by storing the carbohydrates as proteins. If the level of carbohydrates crosses that threshold, the body converts that into fats. The carbohydrates and protein conversion is reversible, but the carbohydrate to fat conversion is irreversible. The only way to remove excess fat is by fat burning by physical activities.
