Introduction:

At the stage ego identity vs. ego despair, adult person basically sees back to their life and if found guilty or have missed some opportunities then ego despair feelings overburden him. But Erickson claims that there is no need to be disappointed, all these things are in the hands of human being. Human beings should be optimistic and have a zest to deal with life now and then.
