Corresponding parts of congruent triangles are congruent so EF¯GQ¯ .

Given that EH¯PH¯ , also given that EH¯ is a median and a median from E to the opposite FG¯ bisects FG¯ hence, FH¯GH¯ . Vertically opposite angles are equal so EHFPHG . From these properties it can be concluded by SAS postulate that ΔEHFΔPHG .

Formula used :  Three points A , B ,and C are collinear if they lie on the same line and AB¯+BC¯AC¯ .

If two lines are parallel to the same line then they are parallel to each other.

Proof :  Since ΔEHFΔPHG and ΔEJFΔGJQ it was proved using transitive property that GQ¯GP¯ . Consider the points P , Q and G ,it was shown that GP¯EF¯ and GQ¯EF¯ .

Now,two lines parallel to the same line are also parallel to each other GQ¯GP¯ .

Thus two lines GQ¯ and GP¯ are parallel to each other with the same magnitude so the points P , Q and G lie on the same line and hence are collinear.
