Introduction:  The type of interspecific interactions in which the parasite gets benefited by feeding on their host which is harmed is called parasitism. The types of parasitism include endoparasites, ectoparasites, and brood parasite.

The type of parasitism in which the parasites live inside the body of the host is called endoparasites, and when the parasites live outside the body of host is called ectoparasites.  The type of parasitism in which the birds lay eggs in the nest of other species so that the young ones receive parental care is called brood parasitism.
