There may be a correlation or no correlation depending on the situations elaborated below.

Explanation of Solution

Given information: Situation is about the weight of dog and length of its tail.

If several different species of grown up dogs are considered in the same data set, then most likely there will be no correlation, but if data set contains data values of a specific dog species and the dogs are in growing stage, then there may be a positive correlation (with age, tail length increases and weight might also increase in some cases). There is no causal relationship as weight of a dog doesn’t cause its tail length to change in any way.
