Chapter 40, Problem 8TYK
Summary Introduction
Introduction: The connective tissue supports, binds, and connects organs and tissues. There are three major components present in all the connective tissue, which include cells, fibers (collagenous and elastic fibers), and ground substance. The collagenous fibers are flexible and strong. Elastic fibers provide resilience and stretch. The connection to neighboring tissues is provided by reticular fibers.
