Mrs. W is a 70-year-old female is diabetic patient and being admitted in the hospital for abdominal pain and change in bowel habits. After the postoperative after colon resection, Mrs. W is transferred from ICU to the surgical unit. Mrs. W feels weak after surgery and her mobility is limited due to her obesity and abdominal discomfort. She also has a history of hypertension, diabetes, and BMI of 40. She developed skin sores due to less ambulation and the doctor order to start ambulation using the walker. Her granddaughter who studies nursing offered to help her when she is shifted to home, during her stay in the hospital, the student nurse gives her hygiene care.
