Introduction:
The hair-like structure is called cilia. It is a cytoplasmic extension develops by basal granules. It functions to move particles within an organ. It is mostly present in hollow organs like bronchioles, fallopian tubes and small bronchi are lined with cilia where stereocilia are long projections but have no motility.
