What is the coriolis force? When does this force come into existence?

Expert Solution
Step 1

Coriolis force is a pseudo force as it comes due to the rotation of the Earth. Coriolis force is a apparent force is perpendicular to the direction of the motion of an object. The magnitude of the Coriolis force is zero at the equator and increasing along the poles.

In northern hemisphere, it deflects the moving object to the right.  In southern hemisphere, it deflects the moving object to the right.
