Concept Introduction:
The other name of aspirin is acetylsalicylic acid. It is used in treating fever, pain or inflammation. To decrease the risk of death, aspirin is given after a heart attack. It may also decrease the risk of several cancers such as colorectal cancer. Aspirin lies in the category of NSAID which stands for nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug.
