Chapter 3, Problem R4RQ
Program Plan Intro
Transport layer:
A transport layer is one of the layers in the OSI (Open System Interconnection) model, which offers logical communication between application processes that runs on different hosts. Two separate transport layer protocols are existing to the application layer. They are:
- UDP
- TCP
UDP:
UDP stands for “User Datagram Protocol” that offers an unreliable and connectionless services to the raising application.
TCP:
TCP stands for “Transmission Control Protocol”, which offers reliable and connection-oriented services to the raising application.
