A railgun is capable of shooting a projectile at speeds of about 3 000 m/s. A certain
scientific railgun used for railgun research is aimed at an angle of 30° from the horizontal.
After some time, the projectile hits the ground. The railgun is planted on the ground, so
assume that xo = 0 and yo = 0.
a. Calculate Vor and voy.
b. Calculate the range of the projectile
c. From your results in (a) and (b), use the equation for x(t) to calculate the total air
time of the projectile.
d. From your results in (a) and (c), calculate v̟(t) and v,(t) as it hits the ground.
e. From your results in (d), calculate the magnitude of the velocity v of the projectile
as it hits the ground.
f. From your results in (a) and (d) and using the time-independent equation
discussed in Worksheet 9, calculate the maximum height of the projectile.

in whole vector experiment . my doctor want me to write a 5 lines about what I have learned from this screenshot.
A firecracker moves vertically upward and after reaching the highest point in its vertical trajectory, it starts falling down. After it falls down by
17.7 meters in air it cracks into two identical pieces. One of the pieces shoots off horizontally with 11.8 m/s speed.
What would be the magnitude of the velocity of the other piece right after they split? Enter your answer in m/s. On your paper, show both your
calculation for the magnitude and also the direction of the velocity vector of the second piece. Show your work in detail including your physics-
based reasoning.

The clown is mostly protected by a wall, but there is a small hole where his head is. He is standing 10 m away from you. The hole is 3 m above theground. He tosses a tennis ball (probably bad choice since it is so bouncy) up at 2.5 m/s at a height 1.5 m above the floor and attempts to use the other hand to catch the falling ball. The ball hit the floor at his feet. How long was Dr. Liu's tennis ball in the air (between tossing and landing)? Ignore air drag. He should probably practice tossing his juggling ball at the same height and same speed before attempting to juggle. We will be able to measure the time of flight between subsequent bounces, but not the velocities before and after each impact. Question 1 a. Using the kinematics equation for position, find a relationship between the time of flight tn and the velocity of the ball after the nth bounce. You should obtain a quadratic equation that has two solutions for the time tm, but only one of them represents the time of flight. b. Using the kinematics equation for velocity and the relationship determined in the previous step, find the relationship between the velocity right after the nth bounce and the velocity right before the (n +1)th bounce? c. Given your answers to the previous parts of this question and the definition of €, find the coefficient of restitution e in terms of the subsequent times of flight tn and tr+1.arrow_forward
