Case summary:
The non-profit Company W work across 9 counties to ensure safe water and sanitation. The company came into existence to meet a critical need that the lack of good water and sanitation. Many women are walking four hours to get drinking water and around 800,000 people a year died due to polluted water and illness. The ultimate aim of Company W is top eradicate this issue.
In order to bring this issue into notice the company underwent a project that has 2 major goals and first is to ensure permeant and reliable water and sanitation and its five-year goal is to help 40 million people from the current level of 4 million. The second goal is “capacity building” which is to train the local community to maintain the water and sanitation facility. The company believes it can sustain without any outside support within 10 years and gives more job opportunities.
