A minority is where you fall into a category of a person who experiences a relative disadvantage/ difference in compared to a dominant social group. Example in a club majority may be drinkers but there will be a minority who does not drink/ like partying but would have attended the club due to certain reasons. These minorities can be based on different categories such as sex, ethnic culture, disability, race and etc.
