A photographer is organizing a photo collection about the national parks in the US and would like to annotate the information about each of the photos into a separate set of files. Write a program that reads the name of a text file containing a list of photo file names. The program then reads the photo file names from the text file, replaces the "_photo.jpg" portion of the file names with "_info.txt", and outputs the modified file names.
Assume the unchanged portion of the photo file names contains only letters and numbers, and the text file stores one photo file name per line. If the text file is empty, the program produces no output.
Ex: If the input of the program is:
ParkPhotos.txt
and the contents of ParkPhotos.txt are:
Acadia2003_photo.jpg AmericanSamoa1989_photo.jpg BlackCanyonoftheGunnison1983_photo.jpg CarlsbadCaverns2010_photo.jpg CraterLake1996_photo.jpg…
The file words.txt on the book’s website contains 87,314 words from the English language. Write a program that reads through this file and finds the word that has the most consecutive vowels. For example, the word "bedouin" has three consecutive vowels.
In this project, you will develop algorithms that find road routes through the bridges to travel between islands.
The input is a text file containing data about the given map. Each file begins with the number of rows and columns in the map considered as maximum latitudes and maximum longitudes respectively on the map. The character "X" in the file represents the water that means if a cell contains "X" then the traveler is not allowed to occupy that cell as this car is not drivable on water. The character "0" in the file represents the road connected island. That means if a cell contains "0" then the traveler is allowed to occupy that cell as this car can drive on roads.
The traveler starts at the island located at latitude = 0 and longitude = 0 (i.e., (0,0)) in the upper left corner, and the goal is to drive to the island located at (MaxLattitude-1, MaxLongitudes-1) in the lower right corner. A legal move from an island is to move left, right, up, or down to an immediately adjacent…

As an example, scores.txt might look something like this: January 15 200 300 126 200 250April 20 125 100 May 17 300 100 215 The very first time your program starts, scores.txt should not exist (i.e. create it with Python code the first time the program runs). In your main function, continuously give the user the following five options: Quit the program. View all Scores. If the user selects this option, call a function named view_scores. This function should print the scores in a nicely formatted manner. For example: "On January 15, you scored 200, 300, and 126", etc.. Add a Score. If the user selects this option, call a function named add_score. This function should ask the user for a month, day, and as many scores as they want to…arrow_forward
- Write a program that reads 10,000 words into an array of strings. The program will then read a second file that contains an undetermined number of words and search the first array for each word. The program will then report the number of words in the second list that were found on the first list. Read the 10,000 words from the "List of 10000 Random Words" text file into an array of strings. Then read the words from the "Search Words" text file, one at a time, and search for them in the array. Report the count of the number of words found.arrow_forwardMany applications possess a word search facility that will parse a text file to identify the presence of a given word. You are required to write a Java application using Netbeans that will open a text file of prose and search for a target word input by the user. The Search functionality would be done int two ways: 1. Search for the number of occurrences of the word. For example, if the user types ‘the’, the program should print out the number of times the word the appears in the text.2. A wildcard search.A wildcard could be used to represent one or more multiple characters at the beginning or end of a word, and/or as a direct replacement for a single character. For example, if the text contained the words ‘shape’, ‘tape’ and ‘hate’, then queried string ‘*ape’ would return ‘shape’ and ‘tape’, whilst ‘s*ape’ could only return ‘shape’. Perhaps leading, trailing and single letter substitution wildcards can be made allowable within the same single word search. It then sorts the array in alphabetical order. The user entersa name, which the program searches for and then reports how common that name is. The program isto use two different search algorithms, a linear search and a binary search. It reports on how many microseconds it takes to find the name using each method. Requirements 1.Each name and popularity number must be stored in a separate object. 2.The names on the list are all uppercase, but the program must find the name even if it is entered in lower case. Do this by converting the entered name to all caps. 3.It must give an appropriate message if the name entered is not on the list. 4.Both a linear and a binary search are required, for each…arrow_forward
