To describe:
The changes that occur in the oocyte immediately after fertilization.
Introduction:
The egg or oocyte comes in contact with the sperm by the penetration of sperm in the zona pellucida. Oocyte then undergoes meiosis II. Cortical reaction is prevents the entry of other sperm and the content of oocyte plasma membrane is discharged. Sperm and oocyte fuses and replicates their DNA for the formation of a zygote. Zygote cell will undergo for the multiple rounds of cell division for the development of embryo and then further blastula.
