Testosterone is a hormone that is secreted in both males and females. In males it is secreted by the Leydig cells in males and by the ovary in females. It is secreted in extremely small quantities. The sex hormones are known by the other name of androgens. It has also been found that it has been also secreted by the adrenal glands in both males and females.
