Introduction:

The word laser stands for light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation.

Laser lights are narrow and highly directional. A lamp’s light is spread over a larger area and is not directional. A laser light contains light of only one wavelength. It produces a tight beam that is concentrated at an area, whereas the lamp’s light is diffused over a vast area. Hence the laser light is brighter than a lamp’s light.

Conclusion:

Laser lights do not spread over long distances unlike a lamp’s light which is diffused over a larger area.
