Introduction: Monogamy is the behavioral habit in which an animal has only one mate at a time. The social behavior of birds is highly developed. It can be observed through vivid displays of courtship, the pattern of mate selection, territorial behavior and reproductive behavior. Most of the birds are socially monogamous as pairing is maintained but there is no restriction in mating.
