Introduction: Photoperiodism is process with sufficient lengths of day and night. It is essentially required by plants for growth, development and reproduction. An inductive photoperiod constitutes 24 hour cycle. When a plant receives sufficient inductive photoperiod it will flower. For long day plants the day is more than 12 hours followed by night whereas for the short day plants the day is less than 12 hours followed by night period.
