Explanation of Solution

The biomes are defined by the abiotic factors, which include climate, temperature, geological factors, soils and the vegetations.

The characteristics of the tundra biomes are listed below:

  1. Temperature is extremely low.
  2. Low biodiversity.
  3. Limited drainage and limited vegetation.
  4. Short time is favorable for the growth and reproduction.

The characteristics of the desert biomes:

  1. Temperature is extremely variable, too hot during day and cold during nights.
  2. The annual precipitation is very less.
  3. The vegetation is very less and unevenly distributed.
  4. The reproduction time is variable but species in these region generally have ability to reproduce throughout the year.
Conclusion

The tundra biome is characterized by the extremely cold climate and the desert biome is characterized by extremely low precipitation.
