Summary Introduction
Introduction: The word “species” is derived from Latin, which means kind. The efforts to classify different bases started from very ancient times. However, it was Linnaeus, the founder of “modern taxonomy”, who gave the meaning to the word species. In the starting, various plants and animals were defined by their external features like morphology and structure. Although, it is inadequate to represent the species only through morphology and structure, it continues to be used in the identification and characterization of plants.
