Database table design for storing sets of coins in purses:

Query 1:

Consider the below SQL statement, creates a table called “Coin”.

/* Create a table called Coins */

CREATE TABLE Coins

(

Coin_Name VARCHAR(30),

Coin_Value INTEGER

);

Explanation:

In the above query,

• A table “Coins” has been created using “CREATE TABLE” statement.
• The “Coin_Name” is the name of the first column and “VARCHAR()” defines the datatype to be stored in this column with the length “30”.
• The “Coin_Value” is the name of the second column and “INTEGER” defines the datatype to be stored in this column.

Query 2:

Consider the below SQL statement, creates a table called “Purse”.

/* Create a table called Purse */

CREATE TABLE Purse

(

Purse_Owner_Name VARCHAR(20),

Purse_ID INTEGER

);

Explanation:

 In the above Query,  

• A table “Purse” has been created using “CREATE TABLE” statement.
• The “Purse_Owner_Name” is the name of the first column and “VARCHAR()” defines the datatype to be stored in this column with the length “20”...
