Given information: In the question vertex and directrix is given with the help of this we will find the equation of parabola.

Formula used: We know that equation of parabola x2=−4ay , when vertex is V(0,0) and directrix is y−a=0 .

Calculation: In this question vertex is given and equation of directrix is also given and we know that distance between vertex to focus is same as distance between directrix to vertex, hence we can say that distance between vertex to focus is 34unit ,and this is equal to value of a , using this concept we can find equation of parabola.

  x2=−4ayx2=−4*34*yx2=−3y

Thus, the correct answer is x2=−3y .
