Human Herpes virus belongs to the class I group, which contain double-stranded DNA as their genetic material. They are enveloped viruses. Nine types of herpes viruses are known that cause infection in humans. Herpes virus is the causative agent of genital herpes. The patient suffering from herpes show a symptom of blister development on their skin. This condition is known as whitflow.
