The larynx is also called the voice box in common terms. It is a tube like structure that is found above the wind pipe. It is divided into various cartilages that are unpaired, and paired namely the thyroid cartilage, the cricoids cartilage, and the epiglottis, which are the unpaired ones and the arytenoids cartilages, corniculate cartilage and the cuneiform cartilage, which are the paired ones.
