In the figure, there is a cross section of two cylindrical conductor wires that are intertwined.Radius c of inner wire, inner wire of outer wire radius b and outer radius a.
The current x, whose direction is outward from the page, is evenly distributed along the inner cylinder.
In the outer cylinder, the same current is in the opposite direction. From Ampere's law by making use of,
a) r<a
b)c<r<b
c)b<r<a
d)r>a
A current i=−40mA is flowing through the two infinitely long straight wire segments connected by a semi-circular arc, as depicted in the figure. The semi-circular arc has a radius R=18mm . Point A is equidistant from both the infinitely long straight wire segments and also very far away from the semi-circular arc. The coordinate directions are shown in the figure.
Note: If the value of current given in the question is positive, then direction of current flow will be the same as depicted in the figure. For the negative value of current, the direction of current flow will be opposite to the direction shown in the figure.
a) Find the magnetic field in unit vector notation at point A. (x,yx,z component)
Use fig-2 image for answering b)
b) Find the magnitude of magnetic field at point B.
c) From Fig.2, find the magnitude of magnetic field at point C, which is very far away from point B .
