Chapter 20, Problem 14Q
Summary Introduction

To explain: The evidence to the given statement “The structure of an organism is determined by the genome that the egg contains.”

Introduction:

Genome is the set of the all genes contained in every cell of an organism. Every organism inherits the genetic information from both their parents. Inherited information composes their whole genome content and will decide the fate, structure and function of every cell that make up an organism. Eggs are the defined structure that carries zygotes (except in humans) and help the animal in surviving the zygotic structure until it develops into embryo that can survive by its own. There are numerous differences between the eggs of different organisms. Growth of an organism in its unusual space is not possible where they cannot meet their necessities that are required for their survival. Human’s fetus can only grow when they are in mother’s womb. So a genetic alteration in a stroke’s egg DNA by human DNA will not give rise to a human baby.

Summary Introduction

To explain: The results when stroke’s egg is replaced with the human DNA.
