To calculate:

The pH of 1L of pure water at equilibrium and pH change on adding NaOH. Also, find the pH when 3-(N-morpholino) propane -1- sulfonic acid (MOPS) is added. And, analyze pH when NaOH is added to MOPS buffer.

Introduction:

pH is the scale used to identify the acidity and basicity of a solution. The range is 0 − 14. In MOPS, 61 % is a weak acid and the remaining 39 % is base. MOPS have a morpholine ring in its chemical structure.
