Below are pros and cons of the two tactics (Use of EPEAT and investing in cloud computing) for green computing: Pros and cons associated with using EPEAT: Use of EPEAT for purchasing of computing materials is accepted globally because it maintains strict environmental criteria. It helps both in terms of cost-cutting and reduction of CO 2 levels. Using EPEAT avoids disposal of hardware products and thus eliminates toxic materials and saves a large amount of electricity. EPEAT rated products have longevity and durability of fulfilling their functional needs and also complementing the environment. Along with the advantages, there are some cons associated with it.
