The diameter of two pulleys are (0.3m)and (0.2m),
center distance (1m).if we use open belt drive.
Determine:
1- the length of V-belt (2ß = 60°).
2- the contact angle between belt and smaller pulley.
3- the horse power, if the smaller pulley turn with
speed (400r.p.m) and the tension force in
tight side (T1=900N), coefficient of friction ų=0.3
4- the speed of large pulley.

Note that flapper C is hollow and filled with trapped air. Carefully examine the configuration of the components in the mechanism. Then answer the following leading questions to gain insight into the operation of the mechanism. 1. As the handle A is rotated counterclockwise, what is the motion of flapper C? 2. When flapper C is raised, what effect is seen? 3. When flapper C is lifted, it tends to remain in an upward position for a period of time. What causes this tendency to keep the flapper lifted? 4. - A vehicle clutch is design to temporarily disconnect drive from an engine to the transmission. There are different types of clutches to suit various applications. Often a forgotten part of an engine when tuning an engine for competition or fast road use. The performance relies on two critical elements: Co-efficient of friction and the clamping force of the spring. Task 1- Anatomy of a friction clutch Study the sectioned diaphragm sprung single plate clutch as fitted to most cars and commercial vehicles. Label the sectioned view.
