The statement of owner’s equity: The statement of owner's equity describes the changes in the capital account of a business due to contribution, withdrawals and net income or net loss during the reporting period.

Equation of the statement of owner’s equity is as below.

Closing Equity = Opening equity + investment during the period – withdrawals during the period + net income (loss) for the year
