• Top-level domain (TLD):
  • Last section of the domain name is called as a top-level domain (TLD).
  • Top-level domain name provides information about the organization, website, or country associated with it.
  • Some of the top-level domains are :
    • Generic top-level domain
      • It is used to identify the type of organization.
      • Some of the general purpose top-level domain are:
        • .coop – cooperative
        • .edu – colleges and universities
        • .pro – professions
      • For example, “www.name.edu”
