Given,
Liquid in a graduated cylinder is 25.0 mL.
Empty mass is 85.450 g.
Mass of metal slug is 15.454 g.
Total volume is 30.7 mL.
Total mass of slug and cylinder containing liquid is 125.934 g.
The volume of slug is calculated as,
Volume of slug=Total volume-Volume of liquid
Volume of slug=30.7 mL-25.0 mL
Volume of slug=5.7 mL
The density of the metal slug is 2.7 g/mL.
The density of the metal slug is calculated as,
Density of the metal slug=Mass (g)Volume (mL or cc)
