Introduction: Molluscans are animals having soft bodies that are protected by hard shells. Slugs, octopus, squids, mussels, oysters, slugs, and snails come under the Phylum Mollusca. Molluscans are aquatic and diverse invertebrates with varied morphological characteristics occupying several niches. Few molluscans are edible and are eaten as a delicacy in few countries. Some molluscans are also used for their aphrodisiac properties.
