Introduction:
Transduction is the process by which foreign DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) is introduced into a recipient bacterial cell by means of a virus or infecting phage (bacteriophage) or viral vector. The DNA containing the capacity of a phage is limited and only a small amount of donor’s DNA can be transferred to the recipient.
