Systems development life cycle (SDLC):

• It is overall process for information systems development.
• It contains a series of planned activities for developing software products.
• It denotes base for all methods of systems development and many events are linked with each phase.
• The activities includes:
  • Determine budgets.
  • Gather system requirements.
  • Detailed user documentation.
• The SDLC initiates with a requirement, it proceeds to satisfy that need, ends when system benefits would not at all be significant than maintenance cost.
• The SDLC has seven phases that includes:
  • Planning
  • Analysis
  • Design
  • Development
  • Testing
  • Implementation
  • Maintenance
