Chapter 16, Problem 8RQ
Summary Introduction
Introduction:
The two bean-shaped organs, the kidneys, are present at the abdominal cavity’s posterior wall on the side of the vertebral column. The functional unit of kidneys is referred to as nephron. Nephron consists of glomerulus, loop of Henle, proximal tubule and distal tubule. Urine formation, tubular reabsorption, and secretion occur in the nephrons.
