Cancer is a disease developed due to uncontrolled cell division leading to formation of abnormal growth called tumors. It is a genetic disease in which there are changes in the genes due to certain mutations. Successive alterations in genes gradually lead to the conversion of normal cells to cancer cells. Some cancers are hereditary and called familial cancer.
