Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation:

The advantages of plastics as compared to ceramics, glasses and metals are to be stated.

Concept Introduction:

Plastics are materials which are synthesized from a variety of organic polymers like PVC, polyethylene, etc., which can be molded into different shapes while they are soft and then are set into a rigid or slightly elastic material.

Ceramics are the materials that contains inorganic component of metals, non-metal or metalloid atoms which are held in ionic and covalent bonds.

Glasses are non-crystalline material and an amorphous solid which is mostly transparent with widespread practical, technological, and decorative uses.

Metals are materials which shows lustrous appearance when prepared fresh, polished, or fractured. They conduct electricity and heat very well and are malleable and ductile.
