Introduction:
PID (pelvic inflammatory disease) affects the reproductive system in females. This mainly affects the female reproductive tract, i.e., the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries, and inside of the pelvis. This disease may/may not have observable symptoms. Signs and symptoms, if present, may include fever, burning sensation during urination, irregular menstruation, and lower abdominal pain.
