Summary Introduction

The nervous system is integrated with all other systems of the body such as the endocrine system, muscular system, respiratory system, digestive system, and circulatory system. The nervous system is a complex network of nerves. There are three types of nerves namely autonomic nerves, motor nerves, and sensory nerves. Autonomic nerves involved in involuntary functions such as pumping of heart, digestion, and blood pressure. Motor nerves pass a message from the brain and spinal cord to muscle tissues. Sensory nerves convey the messages from the muscles to the brain and spinal cord.
