The eyes consist of three tunics. They are:s
- The fibrous tunic is the outer layer and consists of sclera and cornea.
- The vascular tunic is the middle layer and consists of the choroid, iris, and ciliary body.
- The nervous tunic is the inner layer and consists of the retina. The retina possesses the photoreceptors, for example, rods and cones, to perceive the light signal.
