Semiconductors are those materials which has an ability to control the flow of charge carrier in it. There are mainly two type semiconductors; intrinsic and extrinsic semiconductors. In extrinsic semiconductor an impurity is added to improve the conductivity. Extrinsic semiconductor is classified as p-type semiconductor and n-type semiconductor depending on the carriers present in it.
