Concept Introduction:
The acids, which contain hydrogen atom linked to oxygen, are called oxoacids.
The strength of the oxoacid is determined by the electronegativity of the central atomand by the number of doubly bonded oxygen atoms.
With the increase in the number of the doubly bonded oxygen atoms or the lone oxygen atom, the acid strength also increases.
