Question
Chapter 14, Problem 4CCN
Summary Introduction
Case report: Ms. H is a 20-year-old nursing student. She presents with complaints of excessive thirst, excessive urination, and excessive hunger. Also, she is having headaches with occasional blurred vision. Because of her training in healthcare services, she recognizes that all these symptoms are connected with diabetes. Since her mother and sister have diabetes, she further confirmed that these symptoms are linked with diabetes. Her lab tests showed high sugar in the blood (hyperglycemia) and sugar in the urine (glycosuria). Dr. M will see her for a complete workup and begin management of her condition.
