As the liquid fusion zone must be protected by gas or flux when steel is joined using arc welding. The reason for the extra precautions to be taken to protect the back and front sides when titanium is welded needs to be explained.

Concept Introduction:

Welding is a fabricating process where two metals are joined by applying heat at the parts of joining by melting the parts and further cooling it to cause fusion.

Arc welding is a type of welding that is used to join metals by using sufficient electricity that creates sufficient heat to melt the metals and is further cooled for the fusion process.
